As far as I can tell the ones on the bubblewrap are actually pencil boards (shitajiki). Apparently people use them to lean on/as backing whilst writing etc, but I don't see the point in that... I bet they're mostly collectible items, like the pictures on phone cards. They're usually made of plastic so they make great small 'laminated' sturdy posters. I've got 7 so far.

In that pic they're doing leapfrog gymnastics as far as I can tell. But Yuri, seems to not be doing too well and is stumbling and practically falling all over a (probably) annoyed/in pain Kumi! Thats my impression of it.

I've seen the poster pop up on Yahoo Japan Auctions sometimes but not much. I got it as a small pencil board poster instead on eBay for cheap a long time ago.
