Post subject:  A trend?
Have you ever noticed that they tnd to blame violence on what people watch. We all watch anime. Anime is considered one of the most violent forms of art. Yet if you visit any site including this one you will find it filled with people who are easy going and willing to make friends with total strangers ovr a common intrest. Violence between us is forbiden and frowned upon by "our community" as they call it. Kind of throws a monkey wrench in that defense.

Same for computer games and TV in general really. But hey, at least it gives people somewhere to release their more irrational/irresponsible tendencies. "Feeling frustrated? Go kill some evil monsters in a game!"

Ah, violence in video games. Such a big deal that's made out of it makes my head spin. @_@ (they must think of the "innocent" minds of the chiiiillldreen, who are 18 years old)

Personaly I think sex in games is much worse than violence.

It's true that if you watch too much violence on TV, sooner or later you would get used to it and it would not bother you anymore (I know it first-hand). Even so, whether or not people will act violent depends on that person, at least in my opinion.

Personally, I'd rather watch a violent movie with deeper meanings than a romance story filled with kissing, hugging, and other 'stuffs'.

Exactly! It depends on the indivual! Not the whole "community" will act the same and become increasingly violent the more violence they watch. All people don't have the same mind.

Violence make people violent because of a trauma, insanity, but in some cases, T.V. shows and video games, but it depends on the strength of the grip of the person to reality. But we must bear this in mind, people should also guide each other in self-control. Not everyone has strong self-control...

Wow this got into some grim topics. :scared: I think that this whole violence thing was just cooked up by a lawyer to get a client off. Maybe in some cases (the very young) i could see this happening. But sexual violence. You have to be pretty disturbed to do that. -_- and they justly get the title of predators. I was trying to go with the lighter side of this about how everyone here got into a forum based around a violent anime and frown on violence amoungst us.
