It depends on which of the games you're playing.
Myst = Talk to Sirus and Achenar through books; you meet with Atrus at the end of the game.
Riven = You see NPCs, but they don't speak to you. You meet with Gehn, Atrus, Catherine and a few other folk whose names escape me as the game goes on.
Myst III: Exile = I forget his name, but you listen to a bunch of messages from the main villain, and you either have to help him or risk getting yourself killed later on.
Myst IV: Revelation = Haven't played it; apparent Sirus and Achenar closure.
Uru: Ages Beyond Myst = Haven't played it, but I hear you get a ton of interaction here.
Myst V: End of Ages = Not out yet.
Quote:
I tried Myst once but it felt pretty lonely (no other characters to interact with) and I'm not a big fan of puzzles (except for basic ones like Tetris) I heard they made Myst 5 but the company has gone bust or something.
There are a ton of rumors about this going around, but no one seems to know for sure. My neighbor works at the company, so I'll have to ask him about this when I can find the time (and the courage. ^_^;; )
