Do you remember what the first game you ever got was? How did you feel about that game when you first got it? Share some of your memories of that game with me.
I remember the first game I ever got was The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. I loved that game.... wait I still love that game! I played that game until my eyes fell out. o_o; Just kidding. But that game was still awsome. But then I got stuck on the 2nd level and didn't play it for like 3 years. Then I found the game again and some how past the level like nothing. The rest was pretty easy eccept for having to get like million sea shells to get a sword to kill the bad guy at the end.

My first game ever was... 32 Juegos en 1 (thirty two games in one) of Atari 2600...
Later (above ten years later) was Die Hard Trilogy for PSX.

Umm I can't remember exactly... The earliest games I remember playing are text-based ones on the Commodore 64 (I was really young). It was basically like the kind of text-based roleplays that are on the net these days... where you have to type stuff like
Open door
Walk up
Look room
Get key
Use key
Walk left

I remember playing Treasure Island and Mission Impossible like this. But both games I'd get stuck at the parts that were like long labyrinths (Treasure Island had long winding caves and Mission Impossible had lots of different endless coridoors) because it was hard to keep track of where I was without any graphics (even though I did try to draw my own maps). I got bored and gave up.

People still play games like that as far as I know. They're called MUDs online.

The first games I ever got were also Pokemon Red and Blue for gameboy. And on the Playstation, my first game was Crash Bandicoot 2.

You know those old Tiger handheld games they used to make? I had a Little Mermaid one of those before getting a Game Boy (the big white one) with Tetris for my birthday.

My first-ever game was PacMan for PS1 (the 20th anniversary version). I was 7 that time. I really, really loved that game and that was my first exposure to video/computer games. It was sooo cool especially the Quest feature.

Yeah, G-Nome. If you didn't check the link, it was this robot wars game where stuff blew up real good. A six year old's delight.

My uncle had a pong console. It also had a game with "light" gun with which you could shoot dots on the tv. This was somewhere in the late 70's. Then I played space invaders on some sort of console. This game had a some colours if I remember it right. After a few LCD handhelds - a racer and Donkey Kong Jr - I purchased a Philips Videopac G7000 (known as Magnavox Odyssey 2 in the US). It had a pacman clone (you could build your own mazes!) but very poor graphics.
