Ah! We should get little badges like our rank badge that tells which clan we are in. Borg, Yellow Knife, Sunflower. Idk. And then those 3 groups can get a page that talks about their clan as if the borg or whatever was saying it. Like a myspace page sorta thing and all the "friends" of that clan are the members invovled or fused.

I don't think I'd be able to have a page that hooks into the forum and knows which members are in which clan but you could do a similar thing by starting a poll and asking which clan people would like to join with, and ask them to post their reason why.

You could make the poll in the Open Classroom section (seems to be the most popular) and link it to a vs clan fight story in the Roleplay section (need to get more active members though probably for a roleplay). Allow them to also have a "New Clan (describe it in post)" option, maybe they can think up new clans!

You're a Mod now so you should also have the power to make the poll a Sticky in Open Classroom along with the "Favourite Character" one.

There's this new usergroups section in the messages section under options. You can put members into groups. I think we could use it to create specific groups and clans. But only Admins are allowed to mess with it. You can use it to change the colors of people's fonts and avatars. I think we could use this for different clans. Was this feature there last year?

The groups thing is currently used for separating Admins, Mods, Users etc. with different posting permissions so has always been around (e.g. the red text for Admin name <--). More groups can be added but adding members to them would have to be done manually by staff, but you could always add something to your signature "Member of the Yellow Knife Clan" with a banner perhaps and a topic for each clan to post about becoming a member (with a list in the first post of who has joined maintained by the Clan leader) and for clan-related discussion. There are also of course the "ranks" under each persons name based on postcount which is changed automatically (e.g. going from a New Student to a Teacher and beyond into Fusions).
