Yay hentai debate!
Somethings you should keep in mind...
First of all; Pornography, animated or otherwise, is for adults, it's a form of "adult entertainment".
Adults enjoy sex.
Adults have a right to enjoy sex and to watch "adult entertainment."
Sometimes people think that because it's animated, it's for kids and that is why doujin have such a bad rep.

Hentai means perverted, and tends to imply more extreme forms of sex that most people would find highly offensive. I happen to agree on this. I feel that certain doujin are too degrading and/or violent to the characters. On the other hand, sometimes it's nice to see your favorite characters having nice happy healthy sex. I have a Zidian/Garnette doujin that's very sexy but very sweet and not hentai at all. I love that couple and I love to see them together.

Yup. I love yuri/kumi! I saw a doujin of Alien 9, but it was violent and I didn't like it much.

Zucchini seems to be enjoying the Alien9 doujinshi already. Look at the spiffy siggy she has now (Kumi x Yuri!!). It's l33t!

My country is really strict about such hentai contents. I heard that someone from my country had ordered a Ranma 1/2 (if I spelled it correctly) anime DVD, but the moment the DVD reached my country, the customs immediately seized it because of the few nudity scenes it contained. Interestingly enough, my AlienNine DVD had no problem getting through the customs, seeing how much 'interesting' contents it has.

More interestingly, while DVDs or VCDs are closely monitored by my country's censorboard, mangas like Love Hina had no problem coming in. o_0

Exactly. Like I said, rape and tentacle scare me (and these two coincide most of the time), but romantic, yaoi and sometimes yuri stuff is the way to go for me.

Speaking of doujinshii...the ones I've read so far are basically yaoi and uh...yeah. ^_^;; I don't like all the hentai stuff. =( Usually it's revolving all around them *cough* having sex but nothing on the plot, character development or whatsoever. And most of the times the characters are not themselves. I hate that. There are of course, those few golden ones that really, really nice/that makes you melt at times...but those are very few and hard to find.

So far I haven't seen any AlienNine doujinshi...but since you say they all pretty much hentai... Hm...I probably won't enjoy much unless they are uber-cute scenes/in character/nice plot/theme/character development. Uh...yeah...^_^;;
