It depends. If I want to have fun with my prey I'll pick the magic user so I can zap it and stuff, but if I just want to slaughter my prey and be done with them I'd choose a physical attacker.

Choosing physical weapons in Kingdom Hearts is a good choice if you just want to concentrate on getting through the story as a magic user requires a bit more tactics to stay out of direct contact with the enemy. It's also a bit easier as you're just hacking away. But being a magic user can have some pretty powerful tricks up your sleeve and make the battles more challenging and interesting.
Just my 2 pennies. I've only chosen physical weapons so far (I think you basically just have that key sword throughout) as I haven't finished it yet and I guess I suspected it would be a good easy starting point. But my friend chose magic so they clued me in a little on that side.
Personally I do like magic though.

Some say that attack is the best choice, because of your other party members, Donald is a magic user and Goofy is defensive. That way things even out.

Magic does give you an advantage later in the game with healing.

In Kingdom Hearts, your given a choice between a sword (attack), a shield (defense), or a wand (magic). Than you have to give one up in exchange.

Sai, what did you or your friends choose to give up? Kamikaze, what would you pick if you owned the game?

So you can't pick two?

Well, seeing as I want to have all the fun I can get out of this game it would have to be magic. Then I can toy with my enemies, though I don't know how easy or hard it is to do that cause they probably wouldn't have made it too easy.

You still get some magic later in the game even if you don't choose it right away, but you have less mana points. When your mana points run out, you can't do anymore magic.

You get to do ice, lightning, fire, and healing magic. I wish ice could freeze your enemies.

You also get to decide how quickly your character levels up in the game for the difficulty. I choose the fastest one.

Well I think that the best option is to have a weapon yet also defence... So when choosing the sword I gave up magic and my friend gave up the sword when they chose magic.

What!? There's defence too. I thought you said there was only sword or magic. What does defence do for you? Does it just make you block better or something?

With more defense, you can last longer in battle before you die. Your health goes down slower.
But if you sacrifice attack, it takes longer to defeat the enemy anyway.

So I could choose to keep magic and physical and just give up defense.

Hey guys, guess what? I bought Kingdom Hearts. At my school they have an end of the year auction where we auction off stuff like tvs and stuff for stamps we earned. I got a PS2! :cheer: Then I went to the store and got Kingdom Hearts and a memory card.

Yay! I hope you have fun playing it this Summer and please tell me what you think of the game.
At my old school, we had a similar event, but with lost and found items. People bid with real money on stuff in the lost and found that was never claimed all year. Are the stamps a reward for being good or something?

Yeah, sort of. If you do what you're supposed to do then you get stamps. I had 1,236; which is a lot. So far I am on the level where you meet Tarazan and we are looking for Alice. I gave up magic and chose the sword.

The Sega Saturn, without a doubt. It was a criminally underrated system that deserved to do much better than it did.

Has anyone ever played Final Fantasy? Like 1 through 11? Or some of them?
