This particular style of emoticons are called Kaos. Very Japanese-centric thing (and very cute). I give credit to the people who made them at the bottom of the forum.
http://www.allthingskawaii.net/links/Graphics/Kao_Ani/ << you can find places with them there, mostly (if not all) Japanese sites though.

:surprise: << makes me laugh XD

Ah, shows how non-educated I am about the japanese language. Oh well.

"kawaii neko" fits these emoticons to a "T", no doubt.

My name is Joshua. I normally go by my initials JKL. Mr. Tomizawa said he wanted to be considered a great sci-fi writer. I beleive that he is. I hold him up there with Orson Scott Card. He wrote Enders Game. Mr. Card showed humanity for waht it was and how it would react when pushed. He pulled no punches and aplogized for nothing. Sept. 11, 2001 was a sad day but it showed every reaction he had described in his writtings was true. Mr. Tomizawa has been criticized (please don't mind my spelling if I do spell something wrong. The American school system is a bit of a joke) for showing the same unyeilding truths about a race using animals as his inspiration. Removal of a limb is nothing compared to their life. I wonder if he even realizes how good of a writter that he really is.

"Without a great mind the hand can not create buety, and that which it does create will lack soul."
Please don't steal my quote. JKL

Welcome JKL! ^^
That's interesting what you say about Tomizawa and his inspirations.
Some animals are amazing really, what they can survive and adapt to.
It's interesting how a lot of animals just carry on as normal after losing a limb because they've adapted to their harsh reality and simply have to move on to survive.
Don't EVER hold a gerbil by the tail for example. They have an instinct whereby if a predator caught them by the tail, they can remove their own tail so as to escape. But the tail does not grow back. Since a lot of people think it is OK to pick up rodents by their tails it's something owners of gerbils need to know.
It's quite an amazing thing really. That they have adapted to such an extent as losing a part of their body to survive...
(I love gerbils)

Welcome to the forums, JKL. I somehow keep confusing your initials with JK. Rowling...

That's a lot of stuff you know about Hitoshi Tomizawa. I'm crap at looking into the biography of other people... Glad we've someone in our vincity who knows lotz about him. ^^

Thank you Jinshen.
JKL stands for Joshua Kenneth Liversidge.
Harry Potter is a great book. Too bad they went the way of using live people in the movies. Imagine what they could have done by doing it in anime.

Maybe you could write a little about Tomizawa for the site, JKL? Only if you feel like it though ^^

There's some really cute Harry Potter anime fanart around... Some of my favourites:

Hermione 1 (I think this one might be by a favourite artist of mine, Mitsumi Misato)
Hermione 2
Harry
